2020 Tapping Challenge: Day 21 – Tapping for loneliness

November 21, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

For me, the feeling of loneliness is one of the most painful emotions. As humans we are designed to be social creatures connected to others.

What is worse is that when we are feeling lonely, it doesn't feel like there is any way out and that we will be stuck feeling lonely forever.

Today we are going to tap for the feeling of loneliness.

2020 Tapping Challenge: Day 20 – Tapping for the fear of failure

November 20, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

The fear of failure makes us much less likely to take action. And that makes sense because our subconscious mind is trying to protect us by avoiding negative outcomes.

The problem is that this fear prevents us from taking action, which is a sure path to failure.

Today we are going to tap to reduce our fear of failure, making it easier for us to take action.

Pod #488: How To Tap For Limiting Beliefs

November 18, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

Tapping for limiting beliefs can be tricky because there isn't always an emotion that goes along with them.

Beliefs like “I am never going to succeed”, “I won't ever be able to lose weight”, and “Everyone will judge me if I share my work” can feel like facts and finding an entry point to tap for is difficult.

This week's podcast covers the three ways that I approach tapping on limiting beliefs. There are also some bonus instructions on how to figure out if the limiting belief you are tapping for is actually the underlying issue or if it is something else.

The process is simple enough that after hearing it just once you will be able to incorporate it into your own tapping.

2020 Tapping Challenge: Day 18 – Tapping for needing to feel like you are right

November 18, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

Sometimes we feel like we NEED other people to see that we are right.

This need could be because a certain issue is so important, or it might be rooted in just wanting to be accepted.

Today we are going to tap for finding a balance between being heard by others and needing them to see us as right.

2020 Tapping Challenge: Day 17 – Tapping to release the need to justify your thoughts, choices, and beliefs

November 17, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

Part of being human is the primitive drive to be connected and belong to a tribe. This ancient desire comes from a time when if we were kicked out of the tribe, we would die.

Even though that's unlikely to happen today, a part of us remains fearful of being excluded from our tribe. One way in which this fear manifests is in our need to have others accept our choices.

Today we are going to tap for freeing ourselves from the burden of having to get others approval for living the way we want to live.

At other times it feels as if we are never going to have a good idea ever again.

Today we are going to tap for breaking through our creative blocks.

2020 Tapping Challenge: Day 15 – Tapping to allow yourself to feel joy

November 15, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

I have found that people who are interested in personal development also tend to be sensitive to the struggles of their fellow humans. Because of this awareness we might sometimes hold ourselves back from experiencing the good parts of life because we know others are suffering.

Today we are going to tap to allow ourselves to feel joy, knowing it is safe for us to do so, even if others aren't feeling that same joy in the moment.

2020 Tapping Challenge: Day 14 – Tapping for feeling unworthy

November 14, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

One of the most common core issues I encounter with my clients is the feeling of unworthiness. It might be a general sense of feeling unworthy all the time, or it might be specific to a particular area of life. We might not feel worthy of financial or professional success, or maybe we don't feel worthy of fulfilling relationships or thriving health.

Today we are going to tap for all of the areas in which we don't feel worthy.

November 13, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

When we are trying to solve problems we want to move as quickly as possible so that we can move past the issue. The problem is that we don't all work at the same pace. Some people move quickly, while others take a lot more time.

It can be frustrating when the people we are working with are moving slower than we are. Today we tap for those times that we would like to be moving quicker than those we are working with.

Pod #487: Tapping to make the choices we want

November 11, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

When working with my clients, I have found that people who are interested in personal development also usually take the choices they make seriously.

They want to make sure the choices they are making line up with the vision that they have for the person they would like to be. As a general rule this is a good and useful approach to making choices.

The problem comes when they feel like they have to justify every choice they make AND if they don't have a clear justification for the choice, then it feels as if they are choosing poorly.

Sometimes we want to make a choice just because we want to make that choice. Not because it lines up with some higher purpose. Today we are going to tap to give ourselves permission just to make a particular choice because we want to and being OK with not having to justify that choice.

Asking for what you need can sometimes feel self-centered or pushy.

Today we are going to tap for feeling comfortable in asking for what we are worth.
