[Note: Please note most of the articles at EFT Q & A are written from a very general point of view so they are accessible to the largest audience possible. This article is a little different. The topic came up while e-mailing back and forth with a Christian. The theology contained in the article about God’s unconditional love comes from my (limited) understanding of God. I offer it, like everything on this site, as a point of view that is mine and mine alone, not as dogma. If these phrases work for you, great! If they don’t, feel free to click away. They are offered as one more possible approach to healing.]
There are times when we feel like we have messed up to the point that not only have we let ourselves down, but we have also let God down. In these times I have found Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/EvEFT) as a very helpful tool.
I understand God’s love to be unconditional. We don’t earn it, and we can’t lose it. The most difficult times in my own life are the times in which I choose to believe I’m not worthy of or I’m not willing to accept the love God offers.
When I have found it difficult to believe that God still loves me I tap on something like this:
Right now I am having a very hard time…I am struggling…but I choose to know that God loves me no matter what…His love is unconditional…There is nothing I can do to earn his love…Or lose his love…there are times like right now when I don’t believe I deserve God’s love…There are times when I beat myself up because I am letting God down…I choose to know that God wants nothing more than my healing to happen…God wants me to see myself with the same love that he has for me…I give myself permission to know God still loves me…I give myself permission to believe I deserve God’s love, even when I have a hard time loving myself…
[How to use these tapping phrases]

Hello
I have enjoyed listening to the podcast with R Wilkes. I am glad that he explained that healing more often than not takes place over a period of time and that it is not always a one minute miracle. It is important for, especially newcomers, to undersand this. I am glad that he also explained how long to tap for and how often as sometimes newcomers may wonder how long you have to tap for to obtain results.
I look forward to listening to more podcasts.
Sincere best wishes.

I believe there is a statement in the New Testament. “Be ye perfect even as your Father in heaven is perfect.”
What does this mean? Here is an example. There are many radio stations. We turn on the radio. This allows electricity to run through the wiring inside the “box”. It is rather amazing to a person like me, but true, that a radio is in part a machine that can convert radio waves into sound waves, which are projected into our room through the speaker. Then there is another part of the radio. That is called the tuner. The tuner has the capacity to to enable to be selective. Each station translates whatever is going on in their station into radio waves. These waves have different ways of vibrating. We use the word “frequency” to describe these vibrational rates. Each station sends out their content with radio waves, the frequency of which are unique to their station. When we use the radio to select a specific frequency, there is a device inside the box that that aligns the receiving capacity of the radio to resonate with a specific frequency. It is very amazing to understand that the radio waves of all the different frequencies that our radio can pick up actually fill all of the space in our room. We can move the radio around the room and as long as the antenna of the radio comes in contact with the frequency that we have selected, the radio can translate those waves into sounds that we can hear. What is even more amazing is that our radio can pick up the waves coming from any one of 10 or 20 stations. And this means that the frequencies of all these stations pervade the space in our room all at once. They are always there (as long as the station is broadcasting.) And they do not interfere with each other. They all completely occupy the same space in our room at the same time! If they were not there, we could not pick them up.
O.K., so which fequency do we pick up? We pick up the frequency that our tuner is set for.
It is the same process with ourselves. However we are tuned, however we are vibrating, that is the vibration that we will pick up. God’s vibration is all-pervading, omnipresent. We are always in a great ocean of God’s vibration. But we have to be tuned in such a way that we can resonate with God’s vibration.
Some people say “God is love.” If we tune our hearts so that we are vibrating on the love frequncy, then we can resonate with God’s love. There are all kinds of vibrations around us all the time. But if we can stay tuned to the love vibration, we can stay in contact with the all-present aspect of God.
Socrates said “Know thyself!” He meant that in essence, in purity, we, as spiritual beings, are that same vibration of love as God is. That’s why we can be in communion, living communion with God. Therefore we must learn to “know” ourselves.
What are the “impurities” that would cloud our ability to vibrate purely? Well, in EFT we call them core issues, like, limiting beliefs, anger, lust, greed, enviousness, feelings of unworthiness, guilt and shame, and so on.
As long as these impurities vibrate within our hearts, we cannot resonate with God’s vibration. Those who can resonate with God’s vibration, can manifest anything they want, but generally they are self-satisfied and primarily want to see others be happy.
There is a secret that as soon as we hear it, we know it is true. Where there is light there cannot be darkness. Love and Light are synonymous. Or at least they contain each other. Love and Gratitude contain each other. Love and Abundance contain each other. Abundance, gratitude, light, – they are all facets of the same jewel of the heart, which we call love. So, if we turn on our love light, the darkness won’t hinder us.
What does all of this have to do with EFT? Well, we have all heard the classical EFT set-up statement: “Even though I am experiencing _______, I deeply and completely love and accept myself unconditionally.” We have to try that on for size! If we actually feel into vibrating in that way, like an innocent child, we are in for an immediate treat. And, as we feel ourselves established in that vibration, if we gently expand our awareness to galactic dimensions, we can gradually sense that the whole universe is is filled with that vibration. But we have be centered in that unconditional love and acceptance of ourselves, so that we can resonate with God’s love. We have to tune in and resonate. Therefore, “Be ye perfect even as you Father in heaven is perfect.” What can be more perfect than to resonate with the love of God?
We can look up “self love” on the web and there are so many sites devoted to this very theme. I find myself particularly attracted to the line in Gene’s tapping meditation, above, “God wants me to see myself with the same love that He has for me”, and therefore, I deeply and completely love and accept myself, unconditionally.
But this EFT is such an incredible gift, because the more we eliminate our “core issues”, the easier it is to stay tuned in to God’s love. With EFT we hit it from both sides. We gradually eliminate our “impurities”, and along the way, we keep practicing that unconditional love and acceptance of ourselves. And as we learn to keep that light shining, the darkness won’t stand a chance.
