Here are just 20 of things that you will learn

July 21, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

On Saturday I was reading an sales email from someone who works in the professional development space about a program they are selling. My first thought was “Is that really true?”

I wasn't questioning the modality they use and I wasn't questioning the quality of their work.

But I wasn't entirely convinced by the story that was being told about how and why I was receiving the email. It felt more like a marketing tactic than an honest explanation of what was really going on.

The reason I bring this up is because I don't ever want you to think that I am doing that as a marketer. I know that I need to be good at marketing both in order to have a successful business and to make a difference in the world with the work I do.

I never want to be a cynical marketer.

Instead, my aim is to communicate clearly about what I am offering and why I think it will be helpful to you. If what I am offering is a good fit for you then I hope you will say yes. In the best of all worlds you feel like you are receiving value and I feel like my work is being valued and I'm making a difference.

All of this is a long way around explaining the bullet list below. In seeking to demonstrate the value of the Mastering the Art of Delivery training, I knew at some point it would be useful to send at least a partial list of what you would learn in the class.

As I read over it now it feels a little hype-y. But with that being said, here are just 20 of the lessons, tools, and techniques you will learn in the Mastering the Art of Delivery training:

  1. What I tap on before I tap on the issue that improves my results
  2. Why my first round of tapping is without words
  3. The reason the subconscious mind overreacts emotionally and what we can do about it
  4. Why clients forget about all the progress they have made and how that gets in the way of more healing
  5. The main reason we subconsciously prevent ourselves from healing (and the tapping phrase that overcomes it)
  6. Why I stopped trying to achieve total relief with tapping and how that improved my results
  7. Why I start almost every round of tapping with the phrase “I give myself permission…” and why that makes each round of tapping emotionally easier
  8. The one key issue that I tap for every single morning
  9. What I learned from tapping on fungus, viruses, and bacteria that I now use when tapping for emotions and past memories
  10. How I tailor tapping phrases for each specific client so our work is more personal and effective
  11. The three-question sequence that makes parts work easy to do – especially when we are tapping for our own issues
  12. How using the “rule of three” helps clients to be more honest with themselves about their issues, which leads to faster results
  13. The visualization I learned from a client that transformed my approach to parts work (I use this at least once a week for myself)
  14. The best way to measure the success of tapping or any healing modality (and it's not the SUD scale)
  15. My favorite question to ask clients to help them find answers to questions they can't consciously see in the moment (I sometimes even use this question on myself and even though I know it is a trick, it still works on me)
  16. The first thing I do when a client shares something completely unexpected with me to ensure I am never lost in a session and my client is emotionally safe at all times
  17. Why one of my clients decided to bring Bruce Willis from Die Hard into a guided imagery while tapping, why it was the perfect resource for healing, and how you too can get your clients to come up with the perfect healing resources
  18. My seven-step parts work formula you can use effectively right away, even if you've never studied parts work
  19. How to tap successfully with a client when they are unwilling to share details of the issue they are struggling with
  20. The step I recently added to doing inner child work which makes the process much gentler and more effective

I believe every statement above is true. I know you will learn all of this and so much more from the Mastering the Art of Delivery training.

Over the weekend I received an email asking what was the difference between this training and the Advanced Tapping Techniques audio I sell on my site. In addition to going through the specifics of the topics, I shared this:

The other difference is nine years of experience. Even though some of the topics are the same, I am a more skillful practitioner because of the hundreds of hours that I have tapped on my own and the thousands of hours that I have tapped with clients. The art of delivery is about the ability to use these tools and techniques in the moment. I am so much better at that today than I was nine years ago, and a better practitioner and teacher as a result.

I would really love it if you joined us for one of the weekends I am teaching Mastering the Art of Delivery!

Why knowing how to tap isn’t enough

July 13, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

I recently worked with Cheryl around the pain she was experiencing in her leg. The healing outcome was so profound I wanted you to hear the story in her words:

I'd struggled with searing hip and lower right leg pain for 4 years. The pain was so severe that sometimes I couldn't even walk across the room and even on good days I couldn't manage more than a couple of blocks. Thinking I had radiating sciatic pain, I received evaluations from orthopedists and neurologists, physical therapists, acupuncturists, bodyworkers, and energy healers. The pain never improved and my life got smaller and smaller. I'm a former long distance runner and have always been extremely active and athletic so this malady had a dramatic impact on my life. I'd resigned myself to making the best of my limitations.

While working with Gene on other issues I asked to address my debilitating hip and leg pain. Gene's insightful and penetrating questions unearthed a trauma from 1982 when I had emergency surgery for a ruptured tubal pregnancy. Although I had previously done emotional and physical healing work on this event, Gene led me in tapping and visualization that saw my intense and debilitating pain chronic ease and then disappear in ONE session!! After working on it for years from so many directions and domains, this speaks volumes about his ability to get underneath issues and bring together the art and skill of EFT Tapping. I am immensely moved and grateful. I recommend Gene's work profoundly.

Cheryl Jones, RN, PhD

My aim in sharing this story with you isn't to encourage you to work with me one-on-one (though of course I would be willing to do that), but to highlight two parts of Cheryl's account:

  • “insightful and penetrating questions unearthed a trauma”
  • “led me in tapping and visualization that saw my chronic intense and debilitating pain ease and then disappear”

I asked Cheryl only three questions to get to the root cause of the problem. The tapping and visualization we did took less than 20 minutes, and we used just one type of guided imagery in the visualization to get to these results.

You already know tapping is an amazingly powerful tool. If you didn't believe that, you wouldn't be reading this email. BUT knowing how to tap isn't always enough to get the results. You need to be able to find the root causes. Being able to use tapping skillfully to get results faster is “the art of delivery”.

It's not just knowing the tool, but knowing how to use it. That is why I created the “Mastering the Art of Delivery” training where I am going to teach how to do exactly what I did when I worked with Cheryl.

In Session 3 you will learn the questions I used to unearth Cheryl's trauma. In Session 8 I will teach you how to do the visualization I used with Cheryl to create the healing.

AND those aren't the only things I will be teaching in sessions 3 and 8. You will learn this and so much more.

If you are looking to make tapping an even more powerful tool in your life than it already is, then you need to join me for this training. The skills I'll be teaching work when you are tapping with others and also when you are tapping on your own.

This training will be run three different times over Zoom to suit three different time zones, so you can find a weekend that works for you. I am also limiting the number of people attending each weekend to ensure that you receive personalized attention throughout.

Use the coupon code “art” for 50% off the training.

Let me know if you have any questions about the training by replying to this email.

This is an amazing opportunity to deepen your tapping delivery skills! Do it now: http://TappingArtOfDelivery.com

3 hours of live tapping with Gene for only $7

July 12, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

Over the last few weeks I have been doing a number of interviews for the Tapping Q & A podcast. Even though it wasn't the topic of the interview, on five different occasions the same issue came up. All five practitioners talked about how their clients wouldn't tap because they didn't know the words to say.

It makes total sense. If you feel uncertain about how to do something then you aren't going to do it.

That is one of the reasons I do so many tap-along videos and audios. To help you to have words when you can't find your own.

As great as having a tapping script are, those scripts are general and aren't perfect because they aren't tailored to you.

To make it easier for you to come up with words and get more out of your tapping I am going to start doing group tapping zoom classes. Each call will be dedicated to a single topic. At the beginning of the call I am going to teach you how I approach the issue and then we are going to tap on your specific aspects around the topic.

If you participle you are going to receive 3 thing:

  1. Participate in the live call
  2. Downloadable video and audio of the call so you can go back and tap again
  3. Transcripts of all the tapping we do so you can use them whenever you want

To kick off these classes I am going to be doing 3 classes in July and you can sign up for all 3 classes for only $7.

The three classes in July are:

  • Thursday July 23rd @ 8pm eastern – Self Criticism
  • Sunday July 26th @ 12noon eastern – Procrastination
  • Tuesday July 28th @ 1pm eastern – Feeling Worthy

You are going to get three hours of tapping on three important topics, recordings of all three classes, and transcriptions of all the tapping for only $7!

Moving forward these classes are going to be more than $7 each, much less 3 for $7.

Sign up for the classes here: http://www.experttappingresources.com/july-classes

If you have any questions just hit reply to this email.

I hope you join me!

Gene

PS: Even if you aren't able to make the call, you will still receive the audio, video, and scripts after the fact so you can tap along whenever you want. I would be silly to miss 3 classes for only $7. http://www.experttappingresources.com/july-classes

Free Tapping Resources From Around The Web Responding To COVID-19

March 15, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

Here is a growing list of tapping resources from practitioners all over the world.

The resources below are grouped by topic to make it easier to find what you need. There are two types of emotions when dealing with situations like this. They are what I am calling first wave emotions and second wave emotions.

The first wave emotions are the worry and anxiety we feel right at the beginning of a crisis. The second wave emotions are the emotions we feel after we have recovered from the initial shock and move on to worrying about what will happen next and the future.

The two audio players below are tapping for first wave and second wave emotions and I encourage you to start there. Then scroll down the page to find more specific resources to meet your needs.

A few things to remember:

  • Wash your hands thoroughly before tapping.
  • Tapping is not a replacement for proper medical care. If you are feeling sick please follow local guidelines about how and when to contact medical professionals.

If you know of other free resources that should be included in this list, please let me know

I failed miserably in a very public way

March 3, 2020 by Gene Monterastelli

Good morning,

Eleven years ago on today I published my first ever podcast episode and it was a total disaster.

OK, maybe that's a bit of an overstatement, but there were so many problems with the first episodes that I had to take it offline within the first three hours of publication so that I could re-edit it and re-publish it.

smh 🤦🏻‍♂️

To be fair, I was brand new to podcasting and I was learning everything on the fly.

Eleven years later there are over 460 episodes in the archive!

  • There are more than 200 hours of training, interviews, and tap-alongs – All FREE!
  • Episodes have been downloaded over 2 million times
  • The podcast has been listened to by people in over 160 countries

It still amazes me that something that started with a $19 microphone in my living room has turned into all of this!

If you would like me to celebrate with me, I have two simple requests for you!

First, I would ask that you subscribe to the podcast. It's free to subscribe to podcasts, not like Netflix or Disney+ where you have to pay a subscription fee. By subscribing you are making sure you don't miss any episodes.

Here are the most common places you can subscribe:

Apple | iPhone | Android | Google | Spotify | Pandora

For more options go to: http://TappingPodcast.com

Second, share the podcast with a friend. The most common way people find a new piece of audio is via a recommendation from a friend.

The beautiful thing about the podcast archive is that it contains all of the shows that are already recorded. No more needs to be done. All they have to do is listen.

AND when the people around us use tools like tapping they are happier and healthier. When they are happier and healthier they show up in the world in a different way. When they show up in the world in a different way everyone's life is better.

Yes, I know how cheesy that last paragraph sounds, but I also know that you know it is true.

I don't want you to spam your inbox and send it to everyone under the sun. Instead, think of three people who might appreciate the podcast. Reach out to them. Tell them what you have found useful from the podcast. And, if you need to, teach them how to listen to a podcast.

I know lots of you already recommend the show. I hear from people all the time telling me they have found the podcast because of the recommendation of a friend. It would mean the world to me if you were to keep passing it along.

Once again, thank you for an amazing eleven years. Thank you for listening. Thank you for sharing.

Here's to another eleven years of tapping!

Much love,

Gene
