Pod #583: The real goal of transformation: Better – Healing Fundamentals (Part 17)

November 1, 2023 by Gene Monterastelli

Whenever I am working toward improving anything in my life, I always have a clearly defined goal in mind. I have found that goals are incredibly powerful tools in helping to create success, big or small.

Goals focus our attention, help us to figure out our next best step towards a clear destination, and allow us to measure our progress.

At the exact same time, goals can also create pressure and stress. Whether on a conscious or subconscious level, not achieving a goal can lead us to feeling like we have failed.

That doesn't mean that goals are bad, but instead if we add a second, shorter term goal, we can feel the benefit of the long term goal without the extra pressure.

In this week's podcast we are continuing the Healing Fundamentals by looking at the additional goal I keep in mind daily!

Adding this second goal to your own personal transformation work will make healing that much easier.

Pod #582: Tapping to improve your memory w/ Dr. Peta Stapleton

October 25, 2023 by Gene Monterastelli

I was recently talking to one of my clients about how things had been going since our last call.

As they were sharing what the last week had been like they asked, “Is there a way that I could tap to help me to remember to tap?”

I am happy to say that the answer to that question is YES!

Over the last few years a number of research studies have been done to measure the effectiveness of tapping on memory function. Tapping can be used to help our short term memory, long term memory, and to help remember something in the moment.

This week, Dr. Peta Stapelton joins the podcast to talk about what the latest research tells us about memory and tapping.

If you want to dive even deeper into the topic she has written an amazing book on the topic Memory Improvement Through EFT Tapping: A Way to Boost Recall and Clarity

Pod #581: It is all an experiment – Healing Fundamentals (Part 16)

October 18, 2023 by Gene Monterastelli

The question I am most often asked by people who are looking to work with me as a client is “How many sessions is it going to take to heal [insert issue]?”

I understand the nature of this question, which is rooted in the desire for better, and as quickly as possible.

The problem with these questions is there is no way to know the answer. Even if a client is coming to me for an issue that I have worked with many times, there are so many unknown variables that I have to give the pat (and admittedly frustrating) answer of “It depends….”

When we are tapping—or working with any sort of transformational tool—I find there is a much more helpful question than “How long is it going to take?”

The question makes the healing process gentler, more effective and sometimes even more enjoyable.

In this week's podcast we explore the more useful question and how you can start using it right away with your tapping, or with any type of change work you are doing.
