On the other hand I can’t help thinking there have been a lot of interactions like this over the last 20/30 years as enthusiasm has overpowered good judgement.
Tracking it back to it’s source I’ve found it comes from Andy Austin an excellent NLP/Hypnotherapist here in the UK who is deeply sceptical about tapping – at least the aspects portrayed in his little film.
It actually brings to light an issue which is not really funny at all, which is when people use tapping in the absence of rapport and don’t really listen to what people are saying. In my experience, just as many NLP practitioners do the same however, so we should all be mindful of not blindly imposing our techniques on others…
