I recently did a survey of some of my favorite professional tappers. One of the questions I asked was, “Who in the field is doing the most controversial and experimental work?” The name that came back the most was Robert Smith.
I have done a number of reader surveys over the years asking who you’d like to hear on the podcast. Of practitioners who have not already been interviewed, who is nominated most often? Robert Smith.
So after a number of false starts I finally have an interview with Robert about Faster EFT.
I find Robert’s approach very thoughtful and that I agree with his world view about healing.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the interview and Faster EFT.

It nice to see talented folks are taking EFT into many directions and expounding & developing the process.

I much prefer your (Gene’s) slow EFT. Smith’s ‘fast’ EFT seems like a gimmick and has never, over the years I tried it, done me any good whatsoever. He also comes across as a charlaton to me.
Pointing out that we can achieve small parts of large goals with each EFT session is such a relief and has actually increased the benefits I get from tapping. Thank you, Gene.

I wanted to like the guy, but there’s just something very abrasive and egoistic about him. It was mostly about why his way is better; better at blunting one’s social graces, mayhap.
Not once did he even bother to praise TFT or EFT’s founders; felt like an infomercial with little empathy, caring or ease of mind.
He even arrogantly “told you how to say” something, which is odd seeing as how your command of the communication science is awe-inspiringly amazing.
Hopefully, the problem is only with me, and that he uplifts the whole world with his me-too version of Tapping.
I LOVE your work, Gene!

I want to say that if Butthurt found Robert abrasive and egoistic it was triggering something within. Robert and the whole FasterEFT protocol is not like that. A podcast only provides a limited time-frame in which to get across a big message. Spend some time on the FasterEFT YouTube channel healingmagic and you will see why FasterEFT is gaining momentum. Some of my favourite videos are #616 (long, but a great overview of FasterEFT) #34, #113. At the end of video #106 and in others, Robert shares his passion is for people to heal themselves, find emotional freedom and improve the world. He is about empowering others to achieve their own emotional healing and help others and to this end there are over 700 videos to choose from – free!

I bought a couple of Smith’s cd’s a couple of years ago and spent a lot of time trying out his ‘fastfood’ method. so I have a pretty good feel for it. I found it to be very ineffective and the results extremely short-lived.
Robert Smith says
Many people overlook the idea of being confident as being egoistic. I know what works and I am giving it away for free. The results are indisputable and the gift is a blessing.
There are questions that has a presumed truth that will take you down a path that would support other problems and unhealthy beliefs so to angle it the way it will help others is the key.
Gene is great and did a great job on the questions, production and editing of the interview.
It is well noted that I support and appreciate the works from all treatments. But the key is, “What will take you to the next level of healing?” I believe healing should be as fast as possible so you can start enjoying your life. Remember everything that bothers us is about ourselves so do make peace with what you hold and entertain within the self. Loving others as you would do yourself is the key. I’ve been following Robert Smith for a few years and have watched most youtube videos and have purchased some of his series from his website. He goes into detail about his beginnings in NLP and EFT… and he definitely more than tips the hat to the founders from all areas from which he has learned. Yes, I can see how his phrasing in this interview can be interpreted as abrasive and arrogant… but Robert is definitely not that way in person. He tells the truth because he has discovered the truth and will continue to adapt and improve as time goes on. He is direct because he cares and does not want to waste anyone’s time. If you have an issue with something he said then please email him and ask him about it… he will eventually respond and hopefully answer your questions and concerns. This is the best thing I’ve found to help me manage my anger and stress issues.

Hi Gene,
Really enjoyed your interview with Robert. I have been following you both for years. Love for you to share what specific tools, if any, that you have picked up from Faster EFT. I myself have been using Hypnosis, NLP, and EFT as my three main tools for helping my clients make positive changes. Keep up the great work!

Very good interview with an extraordinary guy. I watched his videos and started implementing them….the results have been profound. And I’ve used it on family and friends with delightful effect.
