I think the way we end an Emotional Freedom Techniques(EFT)/tapping session is just as important as the way we begin it. For me the end of the session is more than a signing off process, but it is the next step in healing. When we tap it is not a healing moment, but instead part of a healing process that is going to continue throughout the day and throughout our lives.
I like to spend time at the end of a session (especially an emotional one) setting up the system to continue the work thought the day. The end of my sessions often looks like this (script below audio player):
I give thanks for the fact that I have this amazing power to heal…I give thanks for the time I have had to do this work…I give thanks for the desire to continue this work…the work I have done today is not a healing moment…but part of a healing process…this healing process is going to continue throughout the day…there are going to be times when I notice this healing process continue…and I am going to just smile at the amazing power of my system…while other times the healing will continue in the background…knowing full well that I do not need to be conscious…of the healing for it to continue…this healing is going to cascade through my body from cell to cell…I know this healing is one more step along the way…not only is this a healing in this moment…but it is also a building block for the next piece of healing my system is ready for…knowing that as I continue this healing process bit by bit…my system is going to heal in a natural way that will insure that this is not a quick fix…but lasting change…tonight as I sleep it will be as if I am rebooting the systems software after an upgrade…the changes I have made in this session are going to work their way to every part of my system…so that when I awake tomorrow I will be rested…refreshed…looking at the world through new eyes based on this healing
