There are times when we just don’t want to step up. It could be because we have nothing left or it could be because we don’t think we can.

Woody Allen is famously quoted as saying “Ninety percent of life is just showing up.” Often times all it takes is up getting moving and started. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Most of the time it doesn’t even have to be good. Just starting is enough. It gets the ball rolling, it get the juices flowing, and it gets us heading in the right direction.

There is a reason that things drive us crazy. It is because there is something in those moments that challenges the way we see ourselves and the world, or that challenges the way we would like to see ourselves in the world. We can learn a great deal from these moments if we can take a step back and ask why we are being driven so crazy.
