TapAlong #10A: The Things That Drive You Crazy Are Your Greatest Teachers. Finding Calmness Within The Storm.

There is a reason that things drive us crazy. It is because there is something in those moments that challenges the way we see ourselves and the world, or that challenges the way we would like to see ourselves in the world. We can learn a great deal from these moments if we can take a step back and ask why we are being driven so crazy. Even if we aren’t able to do that in the moment, but reflect after the fact, then we can make great strides.

TapAlong #2: Not Needing Others’ Permission To Change

(Free TapAlong Audio) We are connected to many people in our lives. Some of the connections are very close while others are not so close. When we make choices we don’t make them in a vacuum. We know our choices impact other people. Sometimes our choices are going to directly affect others with the outcome while other times it simply effects the way they see us. Because we consider how others are going to think about us because of our choices, there are time we hesitate because we are not sure how others are going to react (or we fear the reaction is going to be negative). On a subconscious level we won’t act unless we feel we have the permission of those around us to go after our dream. It feels a little odd to ask someone permission to chase our dreams, but it is important to note the places where we are holding ourselves back.

Pod #28: It’s Not Surrogate But It Helps Others To Make Different Choices

I receive questions all the time about how one can tap to change someone else. There are some very specific implementations of surrogate tapping (like the work I do with autistic children). But it is not as simple as tapping to change the choices of someone else. We can’t tap to change someone else free will, but we can tap to create an environment where we give others a chance to make new and different choices. In this podcast I explain 3 ways in which we can take to help others to make different choices by working on our own emotions, make others feel loved and save, and by not bring our issues to the table.

  • Web Hosting: HostMonster (aff) A very inexpensive and reliable hosting company. I house 11 domains for under $6 a month. Great 24hr support!

  • Blog Theme: I use the ThemeFuse (aff) “LifeStyle” theme. When I switched to this theme I had lots of readers comment on how much better it looks and my web traffic improved. Max, who runs the support forum for this theme, is a rockstar!

  • Newsletter: Aweber (aff) is the gold standard when it comes to email newsletter. Easy to use, very powerful, and great phone and chat room support.

  • WordPress Ninja: I have done lots of things to tweak the wordpress theme on this site. Well…really Bryan Murdaugh has done the tweaks I wanted. • Content: Most of the content on this site is fueled by hot and cold beverages from local coffee shops. You can help provide Gene with some of that fuel.
